Creating paper lace

Create beautiful faux lace effects using Martha Stewart's border punches

Border punches, and in particular the Martha Stewart range of border punches, has expanded recently to include designs suitable for almost every occasion. We love that the designs can be subtle and unassuming, or fancy and decorative.

A collection of even a few of these punches will mean that the resources that you have for your papercrafting have unlimited possibilities. Readily available from most craft shops, these punches mean that you can create pretty paper lace embellishments to co-ordinate with all of your projects.

The border punches, and their recent addition the 'punch around the page' sets are very easy to use and will punch through patterned paper and thin cardstock. There is a guideline printed on each punch to make it very easy to line up the punched pattern to create a continuous pattern, and once the pattern is aligned with the printed grid you can operate the punch to make lengths of pretty paper lace.

The range includes a vast array of designs from pretty and feminine, to bold and geometric, as well as several designs for major celebrations such as Christmas, birthdays, Easter and Halloween. So whatever the project, there is a design that will be just perfect!
